As the winter storm approaches, we are prioritizing the safety of our members, staff, and community. Please find the latest updates regarding branch operations and programming below. This information will be updated as new details become available.
Branch Closures
- All YMCA of Coastal Georgia branches will close at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 21.
- Decisions regarding Wednesday hours of operation will be released on Tuesday afternoon.
Fitness Classes & Childwatch
- Tuesday: Morning classes and Childwatch only. No afternoon or evening offerings.
- Wednesday: No fitness classes or Childwatch.
Child Care / Pre-K
- All Child Learning Centers (CLCs) will close at 2:00 PM on Tuesday and will remain closed on Wednesday.
- Decisions about Thursday hours will be shared on Wednesday.
YBASE at the Y & YBASE at the School
- Tuesday:
- YBASE will be closed for any school districts with virtual learning or closures.
- YBASE will operate in the morning only for school districts with early release.
- Wednesday: We will be following school district closures. YBASE will not be offered at any location where the school district is closed or on virtual learning. We will continue to monitor and update this information.
Sports & Youth Programming
- All sports practices scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday are canceled.
- Updates for Thursday and Friday activities will be shared on Wednesday.
**NOTE: Branches with 24-Hour Access**
For safety reasons, any branch with 24-hour access will not be available during branch closures due to conditions. Access will resume once the branch reopens for regular hours.
