YMCA OF COASTAL GEORGIA SEVERE WEATHER FACILITY AND PROGRAM CLOSURES FOR THURS., MAY. 9

The safety and security of our members and staff is incredibly important to us. Due to school closings as a result of inclement severe weather, potential for high winds, storm damage and power outages across Coastal Georgia on Thursday, May 9, 2024, changes to facility and program operations will be implemented.

Please find below the current status of our programs and facilities:

Program Closures:

• • Childwatch (afternoon and evening)

Fun Club / Y-Base / Child Learning Centers (CLC):

• • Chatham County Y Base: Closed for afterschool care

• • Habersham CLC: Closing at 3pm

• • Habersham Fun Club: Closed for afterschool care

• • West Chatham Fun Club: Closed for afterschool care

• • West Chatham CLC: Closing at 3pm

• • Islands Fun Club: Closed for afterschool care

• • Tybee Fun Club: Closed for afterschool care

• • Statesboro Fun Club: TBD

• • Effingham County Y Base: Closed for afterschool care
