Job Description

The Pryme Tyme Program Director is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Pryme Tyme personnel. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; evaluating site function and coaching staff; evaluating staff files; maintaining compliance with BFTS; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; reward and discipline employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Develops and maintains relationships with state child care licensing agency, school administration, parent groups and other organizations and agencies related to assigned programs. Responds to all agency, parent and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner. 2. Assist the Director in providing on-site site inspections and quality controls on an as needed basis. 3. Assist the Director in development and implementation of daily curriculum for the sites. 4. Provides for upkeep of assigned program facilities and equipment and ensures the physical environment supports healthy living. 5. Assure compliance with state and local regulations as they relate to program areas. Ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed. Maintains proper documentation for Bright From the Start, the State of Georgia’s licensing division (I.e. TANF, Licensing, daily attendance records and medication logs.) 6. Assist the Director in maintaining multiple licenses with Bright From the Start. Including DECAL KOLA updates, maintain compliance and good standing at all sites, and maintaining license updates. 7. Oversee the proper storing and maintaining site records including student and staff files according to YMCA and BFTS policy. 8. Oversee the Staffing Manager. Providing direction and guidance on recruiting, hiring, training, and development of Pryme Tyme staff. Completing and processing new hire packets for all employees including background checks, documentation and scheduling of interviews. 9. Assist Director in the supervision of office personnel to provide timely service and information to staff, members and program participants. Review and evaluate staff performance on an annual basis. Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals. 10. Assist the Director to manage and control budgets related to the position. Ensure programs operate within budget guidelines. 11. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of weekly deposits from sites for program fees. 12. Order supplies, maintain inventory and process site requests for materials and curriculum. 13. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information. 14. Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program. 15. Assist in the overall retention and satisfaction of YMCA members and participants through appropriate customer service 16. Process all invoices and manage accounts payable records as dictated by YMCA business policy. 17. Assist in the Annual Campaign for the YMCA of Coastal Georgia 18. Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude with staff, parents and children.

Job Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent sound working knowledge of child development principles, professional training working with school age kids. 2. One to two years related experience preferred, as a coordinator or supervisor of child care programs. 3. Five years of experience preferred in a teaching environment. 4. Two years + experience preferred in a leadership role. 5. Ability to supervise multiple part-time staff at multi-locations. 6. Typical requirements within 90 days of hire include completion of: 40 Hour Director Training; Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; CPR/ First Aid; Fire Safety; Health and Safety Core, additional continuing education as required by state licensing. 7. Must be able to fulfill criminal background check and obtain authorization to work with children under the Georgia Department of Labor and completion of YMCA program specific certifications. 8. Must be at least 21 years of age. 9. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
